Dr. William T. Perks is a graduate of the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While there, he pursued training in the Gonstead technique of chiropractic adjusting.
Currently, Dr. Perks utilizes this specific Gonstead protocol while delivering excellence in healthcare to the city of Radcliff and the surrounding communities.
Originally from New Port Richey, Florida, he was very active in sports and wanted to pursue a career as a health care provider. A high school baseball injury led him to a local chiropractor, helping him tremendously. Dr. Perks was so impressed with chiropractic, he was inspired to become a Doctor of Chiropractic himself, and still maintains his health through chiropractic wellness care.
Dr. Perks received a Bachelors of Arts degree at the University of Central Florida in 1994 before completing his Doctorate of Chiropractic requirements at Palmer College in 1998. He has attained additional continuing education credits in the areas of x-ray and specialized diagnostic imaging, spinal rehabilitation, whiplash and cumulative spinal trauma, impairment ratings, peer and utilization review, permanent soft tissue injuries, and chiropractic pediatric care.
Dr. Perks is a Fellow of the American Back Society, a multidisciplinary organization of healthcare providers. He is also a member of several local and national chiropractic health associations. Dr. Perks is also an Extension Faculty Member of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has trained student interns and associate doctors.
Dr. Perks resides in Radcliff with his wife Lori and four sons- William, Andrew, Scott, and Grant. They are active members of Valley View Baptist Church where he serves as deacon. Dr. Perks is active with many community organizations. He was President of the Vine Grove Chamber of Commerce in 2005-06 and President of the Radcliff Rotary Club in 2006-07. He was the Chairperson of the Golden Armor Festival Streetfest, served on the Radcliff advisory council for the Springhaven Domestic Violence Program and is a Big Brothers/Big Sisters volunteer. He has twice served terms on the Board of Directors for the Radcliff Chamber of Commerce and was President of the Community Leadership Program (CLP) class of 1999 and served on the CLP alumni committee. He volunteers in the Hardin County Schools as a family resource center advisory board member and has also been an assistant coach in the Radcliff Baseball/Softball Association. His volunteering activities have led to his designation as member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He enjoys family outings, riding all-terrain vehicles, bass fishing, softball, exercising, wrestling with his Great Dane "Boomer", and watching ESPN's SportsCenter.
