Eriksen Chiropractic Centers Are Always Ready to Serve You!
Dr. William C. Eriksen
Dr. William C. Eriksen has nearly 50 years’ experience running the busiest chiropractic offices in the area, attracting patients who routinely drove hundreds of miles to be treated. He was privileged to learn directly under the legendary Dr. Clarence Gonstead, who worked personally with Dr. Eriksen to customize adjustment techniques for his specific hand size and biomechanics.
Dr. Eriksen opened the first Eriksen Chiropractic Center in Elizabethtown, Kentucky in 1972. Since its inception, Eriksen Chiropractic Centers has spread across the state of Kentucky. Dr. Eriksen has traveled all over the United States and as far as China to teach and educate patients and fellow practitioners about the Gonstead technique. To this day, Dr. Eriksen personally works with each Eriksen Chiropractic doctor training them how to perfect their technique and how to give their patients the best, and most effective, care possible.
Originally from Alta, Iowa, Dr. William Eriksen and his high school sweetheart, Sarah, recently celebrated 50 years of marriage! They decided to move to Kentucky after traveling through the state having immediately fallen in love with the people and scenery that Elizabethtown had to offer. The Eriksen family has grown to include five children, all of whom have become Palmer College of Chiropractic graduates and chiropractors.
In his spare time, Dr. Eriksen enjoys spending time with his family, following the news and relaxing by racing ATVs in the GNCC or KYXCR circuit, or desert racing in the SCORE circuit. In 2009, Dr. Eriksen and his daughter, Dr. Teddi Eriksen, completed and won first place in their class in the Baja 1000 SCORE race in Mexico.

Dr. Lee Burns, D.C.
Dr. Lee Burns was born and raised in Bourbon County, Kentucky, where he grew up farming, growing tobacco and tending to cattle and race horses. He graduated from the University of Kentucky and then began working construction with his family owned business in the coal industry. While employed there, he began developing back issues. He was referred to a chiropractor by a neurosurgeon and obtained wonderful results. Shortly following that, he decided to go back to school and, inspired by his own personal experience, chose chiropractic as his new field.
Upon graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic, he worked with Eriksen Chiropractic for three years before relocating to south-east Kentucky, where he continued practicing chiropractic for the next 10 years. He has now relocated back to the central Kentucky region and has rejoined the Eriksen team. He is excited to be providing the wonderful results that chiropractic can make to Richmond and the Madison County area!
Dr. Maxwell Eriksen, D.C.
The youngest of Dr. Eriksen’s children, Dr. Maxwell Eriksen completed his doctoral degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic and returned to Kentucky to join the family business, practicing out of the Radcliff office. Dr. Max has a passion for the power of chiropractic, coupled with age and ability appropriate exercises. He has founded Twelve Gym in Towne Mall in Elizabethtown which offers American Ninja Warrior Style courses, rock walls and other non-traditional gym features aimed at whole body strength.
Dr. Teddi Eriksen
During her time at Palmer, Dr. Teddi Eriksen participated in the clinic abroad program performing humanitarian work in Brazil. She was able to travel the country and offer free evaluations and chiropractic care to the local villagers that were otherwise unable to obtain health care. Dr. Teddi has also completed her certification to become a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (C.C.E.P).
Dr. Teddi enjoys spending her free time with her family, and of course UK basketball and racing remain important parts of her life. In 2009, she went desert racing with her father, where they won their class in the Baja 1000 in Mexico. They raced for Team Eriksen raising money and awareness for chiropractic education and research.
Dr. James McNevin, M.D, D.C.
Dr. James McNevin graduated from the University of Kentucky prior to getting his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1986. He then became Dr. Eriksen’s first associate doctor, joining the Radcliff office. After practicing side-by-side with Dr. Eriksen for 15 years, he moved to Lexington to run his own highly successful practice for over a decade. As a man who read biology and physiology text books for fun, he finally made the natural decision to go back to school and obtain his MD degree. He rejoined the Eriksen family and practices in our Leitchfield office.
